New Haven Road Race 2022, CT Folk Fest and More September 2022 Events Near The Whit

This September is a busy one for the New Haven area. From New Haven Road Race 2022 this Labor Day to North Haven Fair and CT Folk Fest there’s something fun for just about anyone this month. Here’s a look at things to do this September 2022 near New Haven.

45th Annual Faxon Law New Haven Road Race – Labor Day, Sept. 5

Join locals this Labor Day, Sept. 5, at New Haven Green, 250 Temple Street in New Haven, for the 45th Annual Faxon Law New Haven Road Race. Each participant earns a ticket for BAR New Haven, located at 254 Crown Street, which opens at 10 a.m. on race day. Your ticket includes two slices of pizza and a celebratory beer. 6:45am: Registration and packet pickup begins

8:10am: Town Fair Tire Kids Fun Run Start

8:30am: 20K & Half Marathon Start

8:30am: 5K Start

9:00am – 11:30am: Post-race party

10:30am: 5K Awards

11:00am: 20K & USATF 20K Championship Awards

11:15am: Half Marathon Awards

North Haven Fair – Sept. 8-11

A family tradition since 1942, the North Haven Fair features local agricultural exhibitors showing off their harvest, animals and more with the goal of providing not only a really fascinating day but a way for local families to learn about what’s happening locally in the rural hills of Connecticut.

CT Folk Fest & Green Expo  – Sept. 10 & 11

Join CT folk music fans this Sept. 10 and 11 at New Haven’s Edgerton park for two full days of live arts, food and music featuring local acts and national headliners. Experience artisan vendors, non-profts, workshops and a jam-packed day of activities and experiences at The Green Zone. There’s even a Green Kids Zone for the kiddos.
